Collaboration & Communication: A Formula for Success in IT Auditing

February 19, 2015 - click to add to calendar

CPE Credits: up to 2.0 hours of CPE is available

Presented by: Kip Memmott, Director of Audit Services, City and County of Denver and Steve Coury, CISO City and County of Denver

What's it like going from Auditor to Auditee? Which is the Dark Side? Is there a Dark Side? It's always great to see things from multiple views. Seeing an audit from the view point of the auditor and then as the auditee can help both sides become more successful. This presentation recounts the journey of establishing a new IT Audit function and taking it to the best in class, then seeing it from the perspective of the auditee. Kip and Steve did just that at the City and County of Denver and have seen the fruits of collaboration and communication lead to successful and impactful audits. You will gain insights into how they built an effective IT audit group and how you as an auditee play an important role in getting the most of your audit services. They will share techniques used on both sides to ensure audits go smoothly. This session will be informative to Chief Audit Executives, IT Auditors, Technology Leaders, and organizational management, whether in technology or other organizations.
